Editor's note:

To work through Janet's excellent tutorial on buttons, checkboxes and radiobuttons, unzip the files from this issue to a folder on your hard drive and open BTNCRBR.lsn in Liberty BASIC's lesson browser. You can learn more about the lesson browser in [Issue #108]

Using the Liberty BASIC Lesson Browser: Buttons, Checkboxes and Radiobuttons

(Novice Level)

The Lesson Browser included with Liberty BASIC v4 provides a clever and handy medium for delivering tutorials and demonstrations. This novice level explanation of buttons, checkboxes and radiobuttons takes full advantage of the Lesson Browser to discuss the similarities and differences of these controls. The necessary files include: BtnCBRB.lsn, dog.bmp, cat.bmp, girl.bmp, boy.bmp, spring.bmp, summer.bmp, autumn.bmp and winter.bmp. These files must all reside in the same folder for the program to run without modification. The Lesson Browser offers great potential for tutorials in any subject, not just BASIC programming. The Lesson Browser promises to be a very valuable educator's resource.
